Job Description

The House of Commons Finance Services, within the Corporate Procurement and Member Leasing Services team, is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Senior Leasing Officer. This position will be staffed on an indeterminate and/or determinate basis, with the objective of also establishing a pool of qualified candidates for future opportunities.


Are you ready to make a meaningful impact? As a Senior Leasing Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the House of Commons’ corporate constituency office leasing program. This dynamic position combines strategic thinking, problem-solving, and client service excellence to ensure effective lease management and seamless operations.


Your expertise will be essential in analyzing and monitoring constituency office leases to ensure compliance with policies, optimize lease management, and assess use and valuation. By identifying potential challenges and proposing tailored solutions, you will directly support Members of Parliament in addressing their leasing needs.


In this role, you will also oversee the accurate entry and management of all leases and related agreements within the designated data management system. This ensures smooth payment processes, reliable client data, and continuous program improvements—all while collaborating with the financial operations team to provide precise instructions.


Moreover, you will provide consultative and advisory services to Members of Parliament and their staff in a variety of circumstances—whether they are newly elected, re-elected, retiring, or navigating office relocations or closures. Your work will be guided by a commitment to excellence and adherence to all relevant policies and guidelines.

Qualifications


Education :

  • Completion of post secondary education in business, finance, real estate, law, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.


Experience :

  • Experience in financial analysis relating to office leasing.
  • Experience in analyzing and evaluating office leases and ancillary documents, and interpreting lessee responsibilities, liabilities and financial obligations.
  • Experience in liaising with private sector service providers, including landlords, property managers, and leasing companies.
  • Experience in providing information and advice to clients on constituency office lease policies.
  • Experience in maintaining lease and related financial data associated with constituency office leases.
  • Experience in delivering property management, real estate services or office leasing advice.
  • Experience in the delivery of client services.
  • Experience with conflict resolution.


Asset :

  • Commercial leasing and property management training.
