Chinook’s Edge School Division No. 73 invites applications for a full-time Behavioural Specialist position at Horizon School in Olds, Alberta. The successful candidate will provide educational/behavioural support directly to students. This position will require the successful candidate to be able to respond to diverse learners with specific behavioural strategies. An understanding of trauma informed practice and reactive attachment disorder is essential. Preference will be given to individuals who have training and professional development in complex behaviour and trauma informed practice. Formal training in Psychiatric Nursing or Youth and Childcare would be an asset. Preference will also be given to those who are willing to be trained in SIVA & Studio 3 and who have experience in supporting students with complex social/emotional challenges .
