Chinook’s Edge School Division No. 73 invites applications for a full-time Behavioural Specialist position at Horizon School in Olds, Alberta. The successful candidate will provide educational/behavioural support directly to students. This position will require the successful candidate to be able to respond to diverse learners with specific behavioural strategies. An understanding of trauma-informed practice and reactive attachment disorder is essential. Preference will be given to individuals who have training and professional development in complex behaviour and trauma-informed practice. Formal training in Psychiatric Nursing or Youth and Childcare would be an asset. Preference will also be given to those who are willing to be trained in SIVA & Studio 3 and who have experience in supporting students with complex social/emotional challenges.
