Responsibilities
- Configure and manage the Payroll and Attendance modules in the HRIS system.
- Collaborate with HR and IT to set system requirements aligned with regulations, policies, and agreements.
- Perform regular evaluations to ensure compliance and conduct scenario testing.
- Identify and manage system changes affecting people, processes, or technology.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver system training to users.
- Ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing.
- Address any issues that affect efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide solutions for production issues and support testing for configuration changes.
- Resolve data integration issues across departments.
- Train payroll team on new system processes and ensure accurate payroll records.
- Assist the Payroll Manager with payroll processing and compliance tasks.
- Participate in audits and support internal controls.
- Analyze and improve payroll processes and system capabilities.
- Develop and deliver payroll process presentations and training.
- Keep communication materials updated and clear for all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Completion of a relevant four-year post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification from the National Payroll Institute.
- At least three years of experience in payroll administration or information systems.
- Strong knowledge of CRA regulations, employment standards, and related payroll systems.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
