The Payroll Analyst performs tasks to maintain employee/payroll records. Duties will include data entry, validation and auditing of work performed. This position will support general administrative tasks across the payroll team. Reporting to the Sr Payroll Manager, the Payroll Analyst is responsible for collection and processing of payroll information for the company’s payrolls, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. _

**General Duties and Responsibilities** **_(list in order of importance and no more than 8):_
- ** Payroll Processing**
- Responsible for the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for 100 Canada and 2,000 United States employees using UKG Pro software.
- Review, analyze and reconcile payroll and other payroll data according to established timelines, standard and procedures to calculate retroactive data as required and identify any payment or data errors managing your time to mee their SLA’s.
- Monitor and maintain accuracy of employee deductions, garnishments and ensure timely 401K transactions are managed.
- Maintain and update payroll policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws, as well as company policies.
- Conduct audits of payroll data, ensuring accuracy. Investigate data discrepancies/errors and resolve and/or escalate in a timely manner.
- Support international payroll team with yearend activities through balancing of reports, communicating with vendors, submitting input requests for the processing of payroll tax returns and reporting.
- **
Payroll Taxes**
- Administer the issuance of T4’s, ROE’s, T2200, W2’s, and various payroll reports as requested. Also, the preparation of year end reports, and filing of all annual returns with federal/provincial governments.
- Work with tax vendor UKG to ensure all taxes are paid timely.
- **
Customer Service**
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding payroll-related inquiries, issues, and policies.
- **
Other Duties**
- Work with other team members to coordinate responsibilities, and prioritize tasks, ensuring all-important deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with external auditors during payroll audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Collaborate and build relationships with payroll team members, supporting an efficient and high-performing work environment.
- Seeks opportunities to improve/enhance payroll and time processes, provide insights and recommendations.

**Qualifications**
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or working towards is an asset
- Strong understanding of both Canada and United States federal, provincial, and local payroll regulations.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and payroll best practices
- Proficiency with UKG Pro, Kronos Dimensions, expert knowledge of Excel
- 3-7 years of experience working with Canada and United States payroll
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to work effectively in a team setting, a dedicated team player
- Emphasis on attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Must be comfortable with spreadsheets and data analysis. Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines. Must be able to communicate effectively with account managers, employees, and team members. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in a team environment.

**Effort and Working Conditions** _(List travel requirements, working Hours, dress code, and applicable Hazards, and physical requirements)_
- Passport required, travel to Fort Lauderdale minimum 1 time per year required.
- Some travel with Canada may be require
- Remote at first and then Hybrid work environment 4 days office, 1 day remote once Canada offices open
