The Chén̓chenstway Human Resources Department is seeking a Shared Admin Support professional to provide administrative and reception services across Squamish Nation departments. This shared services role supports a variety of teams, ensuring consistent, high-quality service that reflects Squamish Nation values, cultural safety, confidentiality, and professionalism.
You will work closely with departmental managers, team members, and other admin staff to coordinate administrative tasks, manage correspondence, maintain office organization, and support daily operations across multiple Nation departments.

What You'll Do- Provide reception support across Nation departments, offering courteous, tactful, and respectful service.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties based on departmental needs.
- Assist with maintaining office supplies and ordering materials as required.
- Support data entry, cheque requisitions, purchase orders, and other transactional tasks.
- Ensure reception and shared office spaces are tidy, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.
- Follow established office security and safety procedures, including controlling access at the reception desk.
- Become familiar with day-to-day procedures and key contacts within each department assigned.
- Collaborate with department Directors, Managers, and team members to support administrative goals.
- Provide backup coverage for other admin and coordinator team members when needed.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Related experience in administrative support, customer service, filing, data entry, or office coordination roles.
- Commitment to professional development in HR programs, employment law, coordination skills, and relevant computer applications.
- Knowledge of Squamish Nation and mainstream HR best practices.
- Experience with Office 365, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, and general computer literacy.
- High emotional intelligence, empathy, patience, and integrity.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Able to remain calm under pressure and communicate difficult information respectfully.
- A collaborative, positive, approachable team member.
- Able to manage highly sensitive information with strict confidentiality.

Salary: $ $29.58 per hour
Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
