MMAX is a computer components and consumer electronics company located in Markham. We focus on many aspects of the market from b2b to custom client solutions. We are seeking an all around assistant to support our executives and office in client communications, sales facilitation, light UI website work, marketing activities, and office maintenance. This role includes clerk and administration duties such as: Invoicing, scheduling, e-mails, fielding, customer service, RMA and light physical labour (sorting mail/small parcels). This job requires excellent communication, transparency, and initiative.
Our secretary should have experience in a digital sales environment and administrative duties. The primary job duty is to support our executive staff as an active liaison to clients and the rest of our team. This role is open to career growth within the company.
Starting wage is temporary and a final salary will be discussed/offered post-probation equivalent to performance, aptitudes and compatibility with the office environment. It is also great for tech enthusiasts wanting to learn about computers, parts and the industry. Access to employee discounts and extended healthcare are options post-probation.
This role reports directly to the company president and operations manager.
Responsibilities:
- Issuing invoices and processing purchase orders
- Record keeping
- Verifying details
- Payment/Receipt
- Working with the warehouse on shipments by performing inspections on the accuracy of orders and providing shipment details/dimensions for our customers.
- Liaising with customers by phone, IM, or email.
- Creating and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Fielding customers to the appropriate internal contact.
- Supporting the sales department.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in administration, or a similar role.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable and skilled in Microsoft office.
- High proficiency with Word and Excel.
- Proficiency and knowledge of record keeping/reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Additional speaking proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a huge plus
