Role Description
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the incumbent is primarily responsible for communicating with internal and external customers to respond to inquiries and ensure that issues are resolved. The incumbent will also be responsible for performing many of the clerical duties associated with the accounts receivable function including the application of customer payments.
Salary Range - $40-$48k
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of Assistant Controller, or designate, the duties and responsibilities of the Junior AR Clerk will be, but are not limited to, the following:
Primary responsibilities
- Update customer particulars as required.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounts receivable
- Follow up with business units to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Be a part of the accounts receivable team responsible for taking customer calls enquiring about their account or credit status.
Accounts receivable job duties
- Handle customer calls when required.
- Processing of credit card payments.
- Accounts receivable account maintenance.
- Releasing orders when required.
- Processing the daily cheque and EFT deposits, as a backup.
Additional responsibilities
- Helping with audit requests and other requests, as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and skill requirements
- Professional communication and aptitude for math.
- Demonstrate tact and diplomacy when dealing with challenging customer situations.
- Be a team player with a customer service mentality applied to both internal and external customers.
- Good organization and time management skills.
- Proficient in data entry with a strong attention to details and accuracy.
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Highly motivated and open to continuous learning.
