Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills combined with extensive warehouse experience, including inventory management, logistics, and process improvement. This role is vital in maintaining seamless warehouse distribution and supporting e-commerce fulfillment. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for supervising team members, managing inventory control systems, and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. Prior experience with warehouse management systems such as AS400 and knowledge of heavy materials handling are highly desirable.

Duties

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment
  • Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensure accurate inventory control
  • Lead and coordinate team members to meet productivity goals while maintaining safety standards
  • Oversee warehouse distribution processes, optimizing workflows for efficiency and accuracy
  • Implement process improvements to enhance operational performance and reduce errors
  • Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely for materials handling and stock movement
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols across all warehouse activities
  • Coordinate logistics for 3PL providers and manage shipping schedules for timely deliveries
  • Maintain accurate records within AS400 or other WMS platforms to support inventory tracking and reporting
  • Train new staff on warehouse procedures, safety standards, and system usage

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a logistics or distribution environment
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, materials handling, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution processes
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or equivalent platforms
  • Experience operating forklifts and mechanical equipment; forklift certification preferred
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a safety-conscious work environment
  • Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment and processes is a plus
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and best practices in warehouse safety
  • Experience supporting e-commerce operations and managing logistics in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks as required
