We currently have an excellent opportunity in our Mississauga location for a Warehouse Team Lead. The Warehouse Team Lead is accountable to oversee the overall warehouse operation, which includes managing inventory and receiving and storing, moving and shipping client goods, supplies, stock and materials to and/or from the warehouse. Actively participates in, supervises, and coordinates the activities of those engaged in loading, unloading, moving, storing, and picking customer product in an efficient and safe manner. Ensures customers’ orders are complete and on time - the right quantities in the right place at the right time, in the right loading patterns. Safety, efficiency and customer service is a priority.

**Major Tasks & Responsibilities Include the Following**:
**Tasks and Duties**:
Direct, advise, coach, train, supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of warehouse associates and equipment operators with safety and efficiency the priority. Tasks and duties include:

- Coordinate unloading of inbound shipments and putting away of product and the picking, staging and loading of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest levels of productivity. Includes verification of materials loaded and unloaded against the work order, inbound receipt, packing list, or bill of lading and that all damages or problems are recorded and reported to the Client or CSR as necessary.
- Implement and enforce material-handling policies/procedures, and regulatory-compliance procedures
- Inspect material-handling equipment, racking and dock doors and plates, daily and weekly as required
- Review the warehouse operation throughout the work process and at completion, including daily “circle check” to ensure that all products are stored safely
- Check accuracy of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders - quality control.
- Oversee dock activity to determine loading / unloading sequences
- Review and maintain orders and activities in the WMS; create and enter date when required on inbound/outbound orders to reflect warehouse activities.
- Train employees as required, including orientation training, remedial training and training as required on use of equipment, health and safety, processes and customer service
- Assist in the preparation of loading, unloading, inventory, cycle count and other reports of information as required.
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings
- Oversee security and general upkeep of warehouse, including regular maintenance of equipment
- Offer alternative solutions to system and procedural issues that may disaffect productivity or customer service or compromise health and safety
- Be accountable to the customer for both quality and quantity of output
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with those on your team, as well as cross-functionally

**Preferred Qualifications Include**:
Bachelor’s degree, High School or equivalent industry experience (3-5 years warehousing with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience)
