**NATURE AND SCOPE**

The Warehouse Operations Team Lead will report to the Distribution Manager and provide advanced support in any of the functional areas within the warehouse and other duties as assigned. This position will administer daily work functions, assist with daily activities with the team of pickers/scanners, shippers and receivers to ensure orders are processed within the required timeframes.

**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Assists with managing the day-to-day warehouse operations, workflow, and functions
- Coordinates the processing of outbound shipments and production schedules
- Receives orders from Customer Service Representatives
- Communicates with couriers to schedule daily pick-ups
- Provides Freight Quotes as requested
- Works with Customer Service to provide shipment tracking as needed
- Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges
- Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments and ensure all items are packaged and shipped to company standards
- Ensures all Domestic and International shipments ship on time and if necessary, the specified day
- Organize and file all Bill of Ladings
- Loads courier vehicles with outbound skids ensuring all orders have been properly separated.
- Execute nightly the End of Day shipping upload using the ERP / WMS
- Cleaning/maintaining shipping area
- Inputting and updating shipping notes in the computer system
- Communicates with sales staff and other departments, as required, to resolve pick ticket issues, discrepancies and other issues as they arise
- Processes all orders by established shipment cut-off times
- Liaises with other departments to acquire and provide information on stock required to fulfil orders
- Manages decoration orders based on a priority timeline.
- Participates and oversees annual inventory counts.
- Trains others, as required.

**EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or operational environment
- Previous experience in a lead hand and/or supervisory position is an asset
- Valid Class 1 Forklift License
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stay standing for an entire shift
- Previous experience working with a Radio Frequency or other scanning device is an asset
- Experience and/or certification on a Forklift and/or other warehouse equipment is an asset
- Must have a good command of the English language
