What You'll Do

The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for managing and nurturing long-term customer relationships with key clients, driving increased sales and revenue growth, while maintaining customer satisfaction and professionalism.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for priority regional accounts (e.g., Longo's, Farm Boy, Metro Ontario) and key Distributors/DSD business, focusing on building and maintaining strong long-term partnerships and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Execute strategies and business objectives to meet or exceed sales goals. Produce accurate and timely forecasts as required and assist Senior Management with developing effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Review and manage pricing and promotional agreements, while ensuring all other contract terms and agreements are met. Ensure that all binding sales contracts are reviewed and signed off by Senior Management.
  • Collaborate internally with all key stakeholders in multiple different projects to align with various product offerings and client needs, while accomplishing the overall objectives of our company goals.
  • Conduct in person bi-monthly and/or quarterly meetings with customers.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Participate in product and sales related training.
  • Stay current on product knowledge, selling process and industry trends.
  • Display at all times a positive, professional, and business-like behaviour.
  • Strict adherence to all Company policies, procedures, and work processes throughout the selling process, along Health and Safety, Food Handling, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Special projects or other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in business/sales, and
    3–5 years
    of progressive key account management experience, preferably in CPG or Food/Beverage.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and a high degree of business professionalism.
  • Proficient in
    MS Office
    applications and CRM software.
  • Proven ability to negotiate, adapt quickly, and apply strategic/innovative thinking to sales challenges.
  • Highly self-motivated, extremely organized, and adept at prioritizing work effectively in a demanding, deadline-driven environment.

Working Conditions

  • On a computer for extended periods.
  • Moderate telephone and computer use.
  • Must possess a personal vehicle and a valid driver's license.
  • This is a remote role with the expectation of coming to the office when needed. There will also be frequent trips to customer meetings, events, tradeshows, etc. Air travel may be required.
  • There is room for advancement in this role, eventually moving to National Accounts.
