Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Edmonton, AB. The Talent Development Specialist will develop, implement, and manage employee training and development programs. The role involves conducting needs assessments, coordinating training initiatives, designing curriculum, and evaluating program effectiveness. The specialist will work closely with department leads to ensure staff are equipped to perform at their best and to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Training Design, Curriculum Development, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to assess training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of programs
  • Knowledge of talent development strategies and employee engagement practices
  • Proficiency in project management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with trends in professional development, especially in the logistics and transportation sectors, is an asset
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other digital tools relevant to training and collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across teams
  • Certifications such as CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) or similar are an asset
