We're partnering with a rapidly growing power systems solutions company delivering high-performance gas reciprocating engine-driven power and cogeneration systems. With a vendor-neutral approach and deep OEM expertise, the organization designs and packages energy-efficient power solutions that help industrial clients reduce cost and carbon footprint.
They're seeking an
Industrial Gas Engine Sales Specialist
to support engine sales and applications in the gas power generation market. You will work closely with engineering, supply chain, and senior leadership to ensure successful quoting, product fit, and customer satisfaction.
This role is perfect for someone who loves selling technical industrial products, thrives in a fast-paced sales environment, and enjoys working directly with customers to build solutions—not just take orders.
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive inside sales activity focused on industrial reciprocating gas engines and packaged genset systems.
- Scope customer requirements and develop tailored application solutions.
- Prepare quotes, RFQs, detailed cost estimates, and technical proposals.
- Interpret technical specifications, identify compliance gaps, and recommend solutions.
- Provide engineering-backed support throughout the sales cycle including bid evaluations and technical clarifications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure accuracy and delivery execution.
- Maintain up-to-date costing models aligned with current market conditions.
- Support key account relationships and contribute to growth strategy for the region.
- Experience with Waukesha reciprocating engines is a major advantage and its preferred.
What They're Looking For
- ENGINE SALES experience preferred — preferably industrial reciprocating engines or rotating equipment.
- 5+ years of experience in application engineering or technical sales within the power generation or packaging industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to discuss gas engine systems confidently with customers.
- Personable, enthusiastic communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable in a technical inside sales environment—not an IT role.
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Experience with gas power generation, cogeneration, or packaged systems.
- Experience with RFQs, cost estimating, vendor engagement, and proposals.
- Familiarity with MS Office and ERP systems.
