Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, styling, and special occasion looks with enthusiasm and precision.
  • Apply hair color using advanced color theory principles to achieve desired results while maintaining safety standards.
  • Install and customize hair extensions to enhance volume and length, ensuring seamless integration and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct hair threading and eyelash extension procedures to offer comprehensive beauty solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail sales to enhance client results and salon revenue.
  • Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail inventory tracking.
  • Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and equipment regularly to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
  • Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling inquiries professionally.
  • Mentor junior stylists and apprentices by sharing techniques in hair styling, coloring, and customer service excellence.
  • Support store management in daily operations, including inventory management and sales upselling strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Stay current with industry trends in hair styling, barbering techniques such as straight razor shaves, makeup application, nail care, and retail math for effective upselling.

Requirements

  • Valid cosmetology or barbering license with proven experience in professional hair styling.
  • Proficiency in advanced techniques such as hair extensions, coloring theory, straight razor shaving, eyelash extensions, and nail care is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills to connect effectively with diverse clients and team members.
  • Experience operating salon software like MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management.
  • Knowledge of sanitation protocols to uphold the highest hygiene standards within the salon environment.
  • Ability to perform retail sales confidently through upselling complementary products such as hair care items or makeup products.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters repeat business and positive reviews.
  • Store management experience is a plus for those interested in leadership roles within the salon setting.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques like hair threading or advanced makeup application to broaden service offerings.
