Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Administrative Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional support to both patients and staff. This position requires proficiency in managing electronic medical records, handling multi-line phone systems, and possessing a solid understanding of medical terminology. Experience in a dental or medical office setting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations using electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix.
  • Handle incoming calls on multi-line phone systems, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations.
  • Assist with billing and insurance verification processes as needed.
  • Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care and improve office efficiency.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a medical or dental office is preferred, with a strong understanding of medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (Epic, Dentrix) is a plus.
  • Proven administrative experience in an office environment, particularly at the front desk.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
