About Us
The Sickle Cell Advocate Board of Calgary is dedicated to raising awareness of sickle cell disease while fostering community, support, and empowerment for patients and their families. We create spaces for education, advocacy, and connection, ensuring that no one faces sickle cell alone. Through events, partnerships, and outreach initiatives, we aim to build stronger support systems and inspire lasting change.
Why Volunteer With Us?
By joining our team, volunteers contribute directly to advancing awareness, strengthening community bonds, and supporting families affected by sickle cell disease. Together, we can amplify our impact, grow our reach, and build a future where every person touched by sickle cell feels seen, supported, and empowered.
In recognition of your commitment, volunteers who serve for at least six months are eligible to receive a personalized letter of recommendation highlighting their contributions and skills developed while serving with us.
