HR Associate
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented and passionate Human Resources Associate to join our growing startup business. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and HRIS management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources management and possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and employees across the organization. The candidate will be working on a full time role. Lastly, the candidate has to be located in the Toronto area
Duties
- Assist in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Support on-boarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company
- Maintain employee records and HRIS data entry with accuracy and confidentiality
- Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance
- Manage payroll processes using systems such as ADP, Dayforce, or Ceridian, etc
- Provide support in employee relations matters, addressing concerns and facilitating resolutions
- Participate in change management initiatives to improve HR processes and practices
- Collaborate with management on project management tasks related to HR initiatives
- Utilize various software tools such as Workday, Salesforce, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, Kronos, UltiPro, iCIMS, or PeopleSoft for HR operations
- Collect and analyze data to support HR decision-making and reporting
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- At least 5 years of experience in human resources or administrative roles
- Familiarity with talent acquisition strategies and employee relations best practices
- Proficiency in various HR software systems (e.g., Workday, Dayforce, ADP) and data collection methods
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with current employees at all levels of the organization and prospective employees
- Knowledge of training & development principles and practices
- Experience working in a startup company would be preferred
