Human Resources Manager

Our client in the non-profit sector is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager for a temporary assignment. This leadership role oversees recruitment and staffing, manages employee relations, and administers compensation and benefits programs. You will also support labour relations activities and contribute to a range of HR initiatives that advance organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • More than 5 years of progressive experience in human resources management within the public, broader public, and/or not-for-profit sectors.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment, including handling labour relations matters and conducting investigations.
  • Strong understanding of Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and related labour laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
