ANDRITZ has an immediate opportunity for an Administrative & Accounting Assistant in our Saskatoon location. The Administrative & Accounting Assistant will provide essential support with a primary focus on accounting tasks and additional administrative responsibilities. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations by assisting the management team and maintaining accurate records.

What You Will Be Doing

Here's an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:

  • Provide general administrative support, including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying.
  • Manage incoming correspondence: open, sort, and distribute.
  • Perform data entry and document scanning.
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Prepare, edit, and format documents such as correspondence, reports, memos, and emails.
  • Maintain office supply inventory and coordinate replenishment as needed.
  • Process daily hours in SAP and verify entries with the timekeeping software and shop supervisor.
  • Update timesheet spreadsheets and assist with payroll accuracy.
  • Maintain vacation and banked time records, including earned days off, allowances, and LOA tracking.
  • Monitor and reconcile banked time balances and related records.
  • Calculate and report union dues monthly.
  • Monitor and maintain field service costs.
  • Prepare customer invoices and intercompany billing.
  • Match and reconcile paperwork, invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips.
  • Enter invoices for payment and attach scanned copies to corresponding POs.
  • Record freight and brokerage charges to sales orders.
  • Prepare monthly labor reports and absence reporting.
  • Coordinate charitable initiatives and related activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to and actively promote the ANDRITZ 8 Life-Saving Rules in all work activities.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma with equivalent experience; post-secondary certificate or diploma preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

  • Trustworthy, dependable, and ethical.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
