Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Accounting
- Manage all day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and payroll coordination.
- Complete month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation.
- Produce accurate financial statements and reports for leadership and external stakeholders.
- Process government remittances (GST, payroll, etc.) and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Liaise with external accountants during year-end reviews or audits.
Office Management
- Oversee general office operations, supplies, vendor relationships, and facility coordination.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain organized filing systems for contracts, invoices, and company records.
- Assist leadership with administrative tasks, reporting, and special projects.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of bookkeeping or full-cycle accounting experience.
- Experience preparing financial statements is required.
- Post-secondary education in accounting, business administration, or related discipline is an asset.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar).
- Solid understanding of Canadian accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
