Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Duties
- Prepare the full cycle bookkeeping include bank reconciliations, recording revenues, investments, and reconciling A/R, A/P, preparing adjusting entries and schedules
- Prepare payroll and remittances
- GST/ HST preparation
- Correspond with clients, CRA and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
- Filing and maintenance of client database
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 - 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping or Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable role/Payroll
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Profile and MS Office Suite (Outlook, WORD, EXCEL)
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration
- Professionalism and ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality
- Previous experience with personal taxes would be considered an asset
