North Rock Truck & Tire is a full-service automotive repair facility in Thunder Bay, Ontario. We provide vehicle inspections, preventative maintenance, and a full range of repair services. We are an authorized Michelin dealer and carry a large selection of Michelin, BF Goodrich and Uniroyal tires. JOB DESCRIPTION

A Service Advisor is responsible for interacting with customers, assessing their mechanical/tire needs and providing recommendations for sales/services.

Duties and Responsibilities

A Service Advisor is responsible for performing the following duties:

  • Interacting with customers, assessing their needs and providing recommendations for sales/services of tires and repairs.
  • Preparing quotations for sales/services.
  • Preparing accurate and complete work orders and obtaining customer approval before the commencement of work.
  • Invoicing labour and associated inventory in accordance with company policies.
  • Capturing all deferred work.
  • Participate alongside staff in inventory management.

The hours in the Sales Department are 7:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Each member of the Sales Department works an 8 hour shift, either 7:30am – 4:30pm, 8:00am – 5:00pm, or 8:30am – 5:30pm.

REQUIREMENTS

In order to be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in the automotive and/or tire industry
  • Strong ability to operate computer software
  • A valid Ontario Driver's License
  • Ability to work well under pressure
