About The Opportunity
Our client, who is a crown corporation, is seeking a Compliance Officer for a 12-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to regulatory compliance and premium administration within a dynamic and professional environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Administer and maintain the differential premiums system, including related by-laws, forms, and supporting materials
  • Develop and update process documentation, procedures, and guidance for member institutions
  • Review and administer agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Support audits and ensure processes meet established standards
  • Monitor compliance with various regulatory by-laws, filings, and disclosure requirements
  • Prepare analytical reports and ensure information is accurately maintained in relevant databases and systems
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to compliance and insurance frameworks

About You
The successful candidate will have the following:

  • A university degree (bachelor's level or higher) in a relevant field
  • Experience in compliance or audit
  • Strong ability to design, implement, and follow process documentation
  • Experience using and maintaining automated databases
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
  • Strong judgment and discretion in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Eligible for or holding Reliability-level security clearance

Assets

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
  • Experience working with auditors or supporting audit reviews
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau

About the Job
This role is mostly remote. The candidate must be located in Ottawa or Toronto.
