Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in South Indian food preparation and restaurant management, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring that all food handling practices meet the highest standards. This position requires dosa making skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient dosa making and management.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, cooking, and plating dishes according to recipes.
  • Assist in bartending duties when necessary, ensuring quality beverage service.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a South Indian Chef or in a similar role within the food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Experience in restaurant management is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures such Rava dosa making and all.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.11-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
