The Scheduling Coordinator is a key communication link between the Care Coordinator, frontline staff and clients/patients. The position demands strong communication skills, tact and diplomacy and mastery of an electronic database. Must be fluently bilingual (English & French).DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - scheduling work for unionized staff (OPSEU) and working with exceptional attention to customer satisfaction and detail, the Scheduling Coordinator works to ensure:Caseload scheduling to ensure quality service and client-centred care;safe work is provided to Personal Support Workers (PSWs);new clients receive services in a timely manner;correct information and appropriate referrals are provided to families and clients;the policies and procedures of PCIL are followed; andconfidentiality of client and corporate information is maintained.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS -Education - community college diploma (2+ years) OR the equivalent blend of education and experience where the educational equivalent is a PSW certificate plus a certificate in social or health-related services.Experience - practical experience working in a community-based setting is preferred.Other Skills & Abilities -fluently bilingual (English/French)computer literacy; experience using GoldCare or similar integrated database.cooperation, a pleasant attitude and good natured manner in working with clients and co-workers;able to work independently and as part of a team;able to perform and prioritize multiple functions and tasks; strong organizational skills in a fast-pace environment;able to handle challenging situations in a calm, objective manner.All PCIL employees are responsible for a commitment to health and safety.Requirements -Able to communicate verbally and in writing, in English and in French;fully vaccinated (2 doses) against COVID-19 with a vaccine approved by Health Canada;Clear police record check/CPIC for the vulnerable sectorDemonstrated ability to use sound judgement and effective problem-solving skills;Able to work days (830h - 1630h)Work references.Whatever your orientation, age, ethnicity, race, culture, religion or gender identity - you are welcome at PCIL.HOW TO APPLY -Interested applicants are invited to submit a cover letter and resume reflecting their qualifications, experience and aptitude for the job by:e-mailFAX: Please quote 'Scheduling Coordinator' when applying.
