HouseCook is a Toronto-based food company providing ready-to-eat meals, frozen food, and grab-and-go items to both consumers and corporate clients. We operate from a licensed commercial kitchen in Burlington and serve a diverse client base including the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Region of Peel, RBC, Hasty Market, and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.

Position Overview

We are seeking an 
Operations Coordinator (Independent Contractor)
 to oversee day-to-day operations, support client fulfillment, and help drive growth. This is a 
commission-based role
 with earnings tied directly to business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee kitchen operations and production schedules
  • Manage staff coordination and delivery logistics
  • Monitor inventory, supplier relationships, and cost control
  • Coordinate B2B client orders and B2C subscription deliveries
  • Reactivate dormant customer segments through outreach
  • Support product launches and new business initiatives
  • Resolve customer service issues professionally
  • Collaborate with the founder and marketing team on growth strategy

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in operations, logistics, or general management
  • Background in food, e-commerce, or service-based industries (asset)
  • Is self-driven, accountable, and entrepreneurial
  • Can work independently and take initiative

Compensation

  • $500/month plus profit sharing
  • Contract role (Independent Contractor)
  • Commission-based only
     – earnings depend on sales growth, client accounts, and operational improvements
  • Performance incentives/bonuses may be available
