Role Summary:
The Accounting Manager, under the direction of the Divisional Controller, ensures the completion of full cycle accounting activities as they relate to the company's Subsidiary that deals primarily with Healthcare Solutions for large hospitals
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Manage, coach and mentor the Accounting team (4+ members)
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations
- Oversee the company's Information Systems including overseeing the implementation of new billing, accounting and payroll systems
- Responsible for overall supervision of full-cycle finance tasks including payroll, benefits, accounts payable and receivable & general ledger
- The position leads the budgeting, reporting & FP&A functions
- Prepare working papers, journal entries, and accounting reconciliations
- Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of monthly Balance Sheet account analysis and reconciliations
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reporting packages and other ad-hoc analysis tasks
- Ensure compliance with internal controls
- Lead and/or assist with internal project expenditure analysis
- Lead the implementation and enhancement of month-end closing procedures
- Lead the implementation of projects and process improvements in the department
- Provide information to the business when receiving enquiries on their financial results
- Support the transition of acquisitions and expansion in the business
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System
- Complete other tasks as requested

Salary Range:
Based on Experience plus 10% Bonus
Requirements:
- Post-secondary Degree and completion of CPA accounting designation.
- Five years of related accounting experience; a proven track record in balance sheet analysis and spreadsheet usage; strong working knowledge of Excel and Power Point; at least 2 years of experience managing a team; experience working in a fast paced, growth organization
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, as part of a team and to mentor a team; ability to meet deadlines; strong commitment to continued learning; attention to detail; ability to take leadership role with the team and in special projects as required.
