Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting Technician located in Ancaster, ON.
This position involves supporting a small roster of clients with day-to-day accounting needs while working directly with our Senior Accountant and Head of Corporate Tax.

Qualifications

  • Experience with preparing Financial Statements and proficiency in Bookkeeping
  • Strong Analytical Skills and familiarity with finance processes
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software and general accounting practices
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members
  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and relevant experience is a plus
  • 2-3 Years in Accounting or Bookkeeping experience

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing bookkeeping tasks independently
  • Assisting with more complex year-end accounting work
  • Preparing client books for tax and setting up trial balances in CaseWare
  • Conducting preliminary reviews to identify errors or discrepancies
  • Setting up T2 corporate tax returns
