Position Overview

We're looking for a dependable and motivated General and Skilled Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves general and skilled hands-on work across a wide range of labour and construction tasks. Occasional physically demanding tasks, site clean-up, and organization are part of the day-to-day.

The ideal candidate has experience working in the residential construction industry, enjoys contributing to a supportive team environment, has a genuine interest in construction and design, takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, and strives to execute best building practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of general and skilled labour tasks on active residential construction sites
  • Assist with dynamic construction tasks, including site preparation, demolition, framing, and a variety of installation tasks at all phases of construction
  • Carry out regular site clean-up and organization including debris removal, material sorting, and receiving deliveries
  • Drive between sites and retail locations to perform duties, pick up orders, and make or receive deliveries.
  • Assist construction managers with daily duties, as assigned, and support team members and supervisors to meet daily and weekly project goals
  • Work independently and as part of a team to help deliver high-quality results
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and secure job site though proactively addressing potential hazards, cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment, and following workplace health and safety rules.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in a general or skilled labour role (construction-focused)
  • Physically fit and capable of performing demanding manual labour throughout the workday
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Possession of basic hand tools and reliable transportation (a truck is an asset)
  • Comfortable taking direction and also able to work independently
  • Be able to pivot between job sites and tasks smoothly as site demands require
  • Interest in growing within the company, with the potential to move into leadership roles
