We are seeking to add another Business Development Specialist to our BD Team providing support to an international sales team in researching, identifying and qualifying opportunities. On occasion you will interface with clients in person in our Experience Centers or at Partner / Customer Events.

- Did you find a new control room opportunity? That's a win
- Did the client prospect want more information? That's a win
- Did you understand and qualify a projects requirement? That's a win
- Did you provide detailed qualified information to the appropriate sales team member? That's a win
Responsibilities
- Lead generation from government and industry end users, architects, engineers, and systems integrators.
- Lead qualification from inbound and outbound channels
- Sales operational support
- Daily communication and collaboration with the Marketing team to refine messaging, campaigns or activities communicating customer feedback
- Interacts with sales team and project management team to communicate client project details.
- Works in and maintains the company CRM (Hubspot) in order to track client and prospective client information.
- Fosters beneficial relationships with business partners, potential clients, and business contacts in order to attract new business
- Occasional attendance at trade shows and other similar events.
- Participate in market research programs.
Required Experience/Skills/Knowledge
- 1-2 years' experience in market research, business development or customer service
- Experienced in the lead qualification process
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to communicate complex, technical product, and service solutions
- Promotes / projects a professional corporate image and exhibits strong motivation to achieve targets
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to solve problems
- Strong analytical skills
Technology/Software
- Strong proficiency on computers
- Familiar with project research databases and other tools
- Hubspot CRM & Sales Hub
- Will need to become familiar with technology in use by partners in our showroom to support client visits and demos
- Will need to become familiar with technology used by clients in their command centers.
Work Environment
Based in the Calgary office and some local and national travel is required
