Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain proper stock levels.
- Implement and uphold food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Handle food service tasks as needed during peak hours to ensure timely delivery of meals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent cooking skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills.
- Previous experience in restaurant management or kitchen operations is highly desirable.
