We are currently seeking a Manager, Payroll & HR Systems to join our team. 

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Manager, Payroll & HR Systems, is responsible for leading the development and integrity of the HR Systems and payroll functions to ensure timely, efficient and professional services are provided by the People & Culture team. They will also provide exceptional service to Resolve Sleep Health employees and all leaders to ensure payroll inquiries and projects are managed with clear communications and deliverables. 

Responsibilities

  • HR Systems development and oversight: Internal HR management system, integrations with HRIS, benefits carriers, LMS and other related systems
  • Leads the payroll function by ensuring that the payroll process is accurate, efficient, and compliant with provincial payroll legislation and reporting requirements. Resolves payroll issues and drives improvement in the payroll systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency. 
  • Leads the year end process with critical tasks to ensure compliance, accuracy and timely submission of payroll data, including reconciliations, preparing reports and finalizing payroll operations.
  • Partners with People Leaders and the People and Culture team for the timely processing of all employee life cycle changes, and legislatively required documents such as records of employment and T4's. 
  • Partners with the Director of HR to lead the integration of newly acquired companies into the HRIS and payroll function as primary payroll processing and support.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual People Metrics and Analytics from systems data leading to reliable reporting and dashboards.
  • Assesses current payroll process and implement changes to the process to decrease processing time, reduce errors and increase overall efficiency.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, policies and procedures.
  • Participates in audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Leads development of systems to support the recruitment cycle, performance reviews, benefits administration and other related activities.
  • Act as a point of contact for Employees and Managers for payroll and system related inquiries 
  • Act as back up support for Payroll Specialist and People & Culture Team as required

What you bring:

  • At least 5-10 years of experience of related payroll management experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes.
  • Proficient with HRIS & payroll and business systems software such as ADP and Salesforce
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Bonus points for additional languages
