Duties

  • Manage and maintain accounts receivable records.
  • Process incoming payments, including cheques, credit card transactions, and electronic transfers.
  • Perform account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for data entry and financial tracking.
  • Conduct analysis of accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and initiate collection efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding payment terms, outstanding invoices, and any disputes that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports related to accounts receivable activities.
  • Support other accounting functions as needed, including journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and revenue cycle management.

Experience

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, account analysis, and account reconciliation is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on negotiation and communication to resolve payment issues effectively.
  • Ability to perform data entry efficiently with a high level of accuracy.
