Job Summary
The Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and completeness of customer accounts, investigating variances or unallocated payments, and providing financial insights through regular reporting to Senior Management.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain AR Subledger.
- Prepare and present monthly AR report highlighting key movements of aged receivables, trends, and collection. performance.
- Review open items (debits and credits) and coordinate with Credit Analyst for feedback and action items.
- Identify and analyze variances in customer accounts and ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Investigate and clear unallocated entries in customer accounts.
- Support the accurate matching and application of customer payments to corresponding invoices.
- Reconcile AR Suspense accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of cash applications.
- Prepare other AR-related reports as assigned.
- Assist in accounting month—end close process.
- Prepare and analyze KPIs.
- Provide support during periodic external and internal audit.
- Collaborate with Operations and AR team to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Perform other required tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES
Experience & Technical Skills:
- Experience with ERP system (preferably SAP)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, data analysis)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and investigative abilities
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High level of accuracy, accountability and confidentiality managing customer financial information
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

- College diploma required or equivalent experience
- University degree in Accounting or business a plus
