Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our perio practice. This position requires a great personality, ability to work as a team, and great communication skills with a caring demeanor for our surgical patients. Our practice is paperless and digital so computer skills are important.

Duties

  • Assist periodontist during examinations and surgeries by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean and properly stocked with supplies.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Record patient medical histories and maintain accurate patient records using software such as Abledent
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, pre and post-operative care
  • Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Use of a trios intra-oral scanner for patient- this can be taught.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred
  • Familiarity with dental software Abledent is highly desirable.
  • Experience in surgery and periodontics is desirable but not mandatory
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks effectively.
