Great position for a Level II Certified Dental Assistant who is a people's person, is always 10 steps before the dentist, and loves to learn.

Responsibilities

Be the example of the Core Values for your office and establish that environment in the workplace.

➢ Promote teamwork by assisting all staff members as needed to maintain an environment that runs smoothly.

➢ Create a positive and memorable experience for every patient. (Including front office, other operatories, sterilization, hygiene).

➢ Increase professional and technical knowledge through continuing education, maintain certifications and licensure, and actively monitor and contribute to clinic treatment production goals.

➢ Prepare patient for treatment by welcoming, connecting, seating and draping patient. Review patient medical and dental history, making any updates in dental software as needed, making note of any pre-medication needs, allergies and/or medical alerts and proceed accordingly, and asking patient about any concerns they may have.

➢ Assist the Doctor in charting and creating a treatment plan in dental software, prioritizing as recommended, and preemptively communicating treatment plan with Office Leader, so they can prepare for the financial discussion.

➢ Schedule next patient visit chair side, asking for any other family members that may need to be scheduled as well, educating on the VIP program and asking for referrals. Transition patient to Front Desk to be checked out, reiterating the urgency for any needed treatment.

➢ Confidentially and accurately document every patient appointment in dental software Clinical Notes including personal notations, diagnosis, treatment and follow up needs.

➢ Review next day treatment appointments. Make notes of any patients/family with unscheduled treatment or hygiene. Check for pre-medication, allergy alerts, or special patient concerns and share this information in the Morning Huddle.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 2 years of experience;

  2. Ready and available professional references from previous employers and coworkers

  3. Be a team player and able to adapt to office policy improvements (we are constantly striving for improved patient care/service)

  4. Conflict resolution experience. We like to get along, and we love our patients and our team. We are looking for someone who can spot a potential problem and resolve it before it becomes an issue.

  5. Quick response/accurate data entry

  6. Accuracy, honesty, integrity, detail oriented and an ability to always see room for improvement within one's own performance. Must be able to follow instructions and document well.

  7. Excellent english communication skills (spoken and written) and be a people's person, you should really care about our patients.
