**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain the production and staging databases.
- Work with developers to modify the database for new updates.
- Aid developers with integrations with other systems.
- Handle database backups.
- Maintain database update packages for on-premises customers.
- Advise and plan future expansions to servers on other continents.
- As much server administration as possible.
- Propose and implement performance optimization and scaling strategies while contributing to
- Maintain an understanding of current web technologies or programming practices through

continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups.

**PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to take ownership of a project and work extra hours in

cases of emergency.
- Strong analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Self-motivated with excellent communication (English), planning, organizational and

time-management skills

**TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- MySQL (strong)
- Other database systems (Oracle, SQL Server,...)
- AWS
- S3 buckets
- Azure
- Acronis backups
- LAMP Server administration (nice to have)

**SALARY**:$65,000-$80,000 CAD/year
