**Position Summary**:
The Administrative Coordinator is a member of the Indigenous Mental Wellness Services team at Dalton Associates, reporting to the Manager of the Indigenous Mental Wellness Services Division.

They are a compassionate, well-organized professional with experience working in the mental health field, and a specific interest in working with Indigenous communities in Ontario’s remote northern regions, as well as experience and skill in administration, coordinating travel in the north, reporting and evaluation, process improvement, and quality assurance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate meetings, including maintaining agendas, taking/storing/disseminating minutes, and communicating with attendees with all required documentation before and after meetings;
- Provide administrative support for recruitment and hiring of staff and contractors for the Indigenous Mental Wellness Services Division;
- Coordinate the travel logistics for all Dalton Associates staff and contractors who attend communities in support of various programs and services through the Indigenous Mental Wellness Services Division, including regularly updating travel information for tracking and invoicing purposes;
- Support with the composition of weekly, monthly, and annual reports for all community and regional programs, in collaboration with the program coordinators/leads, including reaching out to contractors to ensure timely submission of activity reports and invoices;
- As needed, support the composition of official communication, marketing materials, presentations, etc. for the Division;
- Support the “Perspectives” program within the Indigenous Mental Wellness Services Division, which is dedicated to the continuing engagement of team members in cultural safety discussions, education, and reflection;
- When necessary, travel into the communities served to assist in administration and coordination of projects; and
- Other duties, as assigned by the Manager of the Indigenous Mental Wellness Services Division.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in an appropriate discipline (such as health administration, mental health services, social sciences or political sciences) or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Prior experience working in a coordination role, in the mental health field;
- Proficient with technology, in particular the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), electronic record management platforms, databases, etc;
- Strong ability to navigate community resources;
- Strong ability to establish and maintain a professional, supportive, respectful, and trusting relationships with colleagues, internal and external teams, clients, stakeholders, etc;
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to self-direct and take initiative, and to collaborate with the Indigenous Mental Wellness Programs team;
- Experience working with and/or in First Nations communities is an asset; and
- Ability to speak Ojibway, Oji-Cree, and/or Cree is an asset.

**Employment Terms**: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm)

The Administrative Coordinator will work remotely with the possibility of occasional in-person meetings at the Dalton Associates head office located in Fergus, Ontario.

As the Administrative Coordinator primarily works remotely and will handle confidential information, a private and quiet space with strong internet connection is required to fulfill the duties of this role.
