Inventory Control Specialist

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you’ll be responsible for supporting the global cycle count program, ensuring inventory transactions are done in accordance with existing policies and procedures, and investigating and reporting on variances. You’ll also get the chance to collaborate with internal operations teams to identify inventory issues and propose solutions.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensures the Cycle Count program is executed in all STEMCELL locations as per policy and meets targets
- Participates in the transactions review program to ensure there is appropriate management and control of inventory in all STEMCELL locations: owned, controlled or contracted
- Prepares, reviews and reports on metrics for stakeholders at all STEMCELL locations
- Maintains master data and execute other inventory related tasks to support the product's life cycle in SAP
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and participates in or leads cross-functional initiatives to effect positive change

**Knowledge and Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education, preferably in supply chain or business operations
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- APICS certification, or equivalent designation, is considered an asset
- Strong math and excel skills (including use of formulas: VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)
- SAP experience an asset
- Comfortable dealing with large sets of data and repetitive tasks
- Continuous improvement mindset and strong problem-solving skills
