**Job Summary**: The Progressive Intercultural Community Services Society (PICS)’s Foreign Credential Recognition Loans Project (FCR) has been specifically designed to address particular barriers to employment faced by skilled newcomer professionals, by offering career and financial counselling and support services to achieve the following objectives:

- Contribute to developing fair, transparent, consistent, and timely foreign credential assessment and recognition capacity
- Develop and strengthen Canada’s foreign credential assessment and recognition capacity
- Contribute to improving Labour market integration outcomes of internationally trained individuals in targeted occupations and sectors

The Administrative and Financial Assistant will provide support to Program staff in the delivery of the project and assist participants to achieve their goals.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- adheres to policies and standards as established by PICS Policy and Procedure Manual, PICS Health and Safety Guidelines;
- works with the manager to develop and refine program goals and objectives aligned with the organization's mission;
- collaborates with stakeholders to define program objectives, scope, and deliverables;
- manages allocated resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to support program goals;
- coordinates with the team across provinces and collect required information;
- fosters collaboration and communication among team members to ensure the successful
- execution of program activities;
- monitors program progress against established milestones and deliverables;
- identifies and address issues or obstacles that may impact program success;
- monitors invoices, resource utilization and adjust as necessary;
- develops and manages program budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness;
- helps in preparing financial reports and forecasts for program stakeholders;
- identifies potential risks and challenges associated with the program and develop and implement;
- risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions;
- maintains accurate program documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes;
- prepares regular reports for program stakeholders and senior management; and
- ensures program activities comply with relevant program objectives and organizational policies.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- strong ability to work with minimum supervision;
- strong computer and analytical skills coupled with high degree of accuracy;
- excellent verbal and written communications skills;
- excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients;
- able to accomplish tasks with deadlines & handle stress and pressure;
- willing to take initiative, actions and be results-oriented, flexible and dedicated to quality work;
- fluency in English, effective verbal and listening communication skills; and
- positive attitude.

**Qualifications/Experience Requirement**:

- bachelor's degree /diploma in a related field or equivalent work experience;
- minimum 1 year of experience in administration;
- basic administrative knowledge;
- knowledge or experience in basic accounting and day to day office tasks; and
- knowledge of basic computing, MS office, Canva and marketing.

**Additional Information**:

- punjabi language proficiency would be considered an asset;
- valid driver’s license and access to suitable vehicle is required; and
- Clean Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector).
