**Operations Coordinator, ITCE**

**Start Date: As Soon As Possible**

**Salary Range: $59,091.85 to $79,947.80**

**Location: 2150 Chevrier Blvd.**

**Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (35 hours/week)**

The Industry Training & Continuing Education (ITCE) department creates, validates, and delivers quality, innovative programming that is industry-driven and student-focused. Through the development and delivery of continuing education programming, micro-credentials, certificate programs, and corporate and customized training, ITCE works closely with industry and community partners to provide training solutions that provide career pathways and meet the specific labour market needs of industry.

The Operations Coordinator, Industry Training and Continuing Education (ITCE) plays a significant role in planning and coordinating all Continuing Education programming activities, departmental enrolment services functions, and the coordination of external funding proposals, strategic planning initiatives, high-level projects for the department, and departmental policies, processes and procedures. The incumbent in this position must be highly organized. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical in this role since the Operations Coordinator typically acts as a key contact with internal departments and external clients, often as a first-point-of contact.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
**Continuing Education Planning and Enrolment Services**
- Research and analyze national, provincial and local labour market trends to identify new training opportunities for the department.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate new and existing Continuing Education courses and workshops, micro-certificates and academic remediation courses that are marketed to domestic and international students/prospective students, industry, internal staff, and the public.
- Develop and coordinate the Continuing Education course information to be entered into the course catalogue/online registration system.
- Create Continuing Education and Industry Training Course sections and coordinate the course-offering updates and grade entries in the student information system (e.g. CAMS).
- Liaise with MITT’s Registrar’s Office and ensure ITCE RO-related processes and procedures are aligned.
- Develop and coordinate Continuing Education delivery schedules in consultation/collaboration with the Director, internal academic departments, and continuing education instructors and support staff.
- Develop Continuing Education student handbooks and forms necessary for Continuing Education programming and operations.

**Continuing Education - Supervisory**
- Coordinate and participate in the recruitment and selection processes on Continuing Education staff hires (e.g. term instructors, instructional assistants and support staff).
- Prepare Continuing Education instructor contracts and conduct instructor orientation.
- Develop and maintain instructor onboarding handbooks/processes related to the department and conduct related staff orientations.
- Track Continuing Education term contract start and end dates, renewals and exits, ensuring appropriate paperwork is submitted to Human Resources and appropriate exit activities have been completed (e.g. return of keys, IT equipment, curriculum, etc.).
- Supervise and support Continuing Education staff (e.g., instructors, operations support staff, instructional assistants, etc.) on program delivery and procedural matters.
- (As applicable) Administer performance reviews of instructors and support staff within their portfolio.
- Work with academic and training delivery staff (i.e. instructors, instructional assistants and operations support staff) to ensure Continuing Education courses have necessary supplies, online licenses/curriculum and resources. Coordinate the submission of requests to purchase supplies and resources for Continuing Education courses.
- Work with the department’s leadership team and HR to recruit and hire instructors for the Continuing Education programming.
- Communicate with instructors and provide support to monitor student performance, making referrals to additional resources as necessary.

**ITCE Project Coordination, Collaboration and Continuous Improvement**
- Develop, update and monitor departmental standard operating procedures and processes to ensure alignment with MITT policies, procedures and processes.
