Under the general direction of the General Manager (GM), the Operations Coordinator (OC) is responsible for the leadership, analysis, planning, development, implementation, and service delivery of all animal operations including business practices and customer service systems.. The results-oriented OC is accountable for the development and documentation of standardized business procedures, operational guidelines and performance measurement systems through research of best practices and iterative improvement strategies.

The OC is an expert with respect to operational knowledge of chameleon software. The OC is expected to lead improvement and innovation in both business practices and customer service systems including utilizing proactive management and performance management. The OC provides strong critical thinking and problem-solving expertise when implementing all changes. The OC is an expert in animal care and welfare.

The OC must respond well in a high-demand and multi-task environment. The OC must have significant independence in the interpretation of animal care regulations including industry best practices.

This position is highly specialized and technical in nature and requires the incumbent to make sound decisions in a high-volume, stressful, and politically sensitive environment. The incumbent acts as General Manager and Field Operation and Court Coordinator as needed.

**As the** **_O_**_p_**_erations Coordinator_** **you will**:

- Ensures animal operations meet or exceed expectations under governmental regulations, industry best practices, and Agency goals.
- Responsible for the evaluation, development, documentation, and implementation of improved business practices and internal systems.
- Responsible for the supervision of Staff.
- Responsible for the monitoring of quality control systems.

**Your education and qualifications include**:

- Certificate or diploma in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Registered Veterinary Technician required
- 12 months prior related work experience. 3 months on the job learning.
- Two years of dog care and training experience in an animal welfare or veterinary environment as a Registered Veterinary Technician required.

**Conditions of employment**:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must have the ability to qualify and receive appointment as a Special Constable.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Full Manitoba Driver’s Licence.
