**Health & Safety Administrator**

S&R Sawmills has a long history of Custom Cutting in the Lower Mainland. We are a family run business that was established in 1963 and currently have a workforce of over 300 employees on a large strip of the Fraser River. Employee safety is the highest priority with experience, knowledge and hard work being the backbone for many years.

We are looking for a dedicated, team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is safety conscious and interested in a long-term career with us. This role is a full-time, permanent position which includes a benefits package and pension plan.

**Role Description**:
Reporting to the Safety Advisor, the Health & Safety Administrator provides critical administrative support to the Health & Safety department. The role focuses on data entry, report preparation, scheduling, and maintaining accurate and organized records to ensure smooth operation of the company’s safety systems and regulatory compliance.

While the primary focus is on supporting the Safety Advisor, this position may also offer occasional administrative assistance to Human Resources or production departments.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Accurately input data into safety management systems and internal tracking database
- Prepare and format reports, incident logs, training records, and internal safety documentation
- Schedule safety-related training, fit testing, inspections, and meetings
- Track training certifications, expiry dates, and outstanding compliance requirements
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas, minutes, and action item follow-ups
- Check and maintain inventory of safety-related supplies (e.g., first aid room stock)
- Support the organization of emergency drills, internal safety campaigns, and inspections
- Provide administrative support for continuous improvement of safety procedures and documentation
- Assist HR department with administrative support
- Respond to internal inquiries related to records, safety data, or scheduling
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Safety Advisor

**Qualifications, Experience and Skills**:

- Previous experience in an administrative or support role is an asset
- Comfortable working in or around an industrial environment
- Experience and interest working in a safety or HR-related role is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Comfortable using digital systems and internal databases; tech-savvy and adaptable to new tools
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication
- Personable, with strong interpersonal skills and a professional, approachable demeanor; able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels and foster positive working relationships
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive documentation appropriately
