B&B Contracting is seeking a dedicated **Health & Safety Administrative Assistant** to provide vital support to our Health & Safety Manager and Advisors in effectively managing the corporate Health & Safety program. Join our Health & Safety team and play a pivotal role in efficiently managing filing systems, generating safety reports, and supporting safety initiatives. Salary ranges from $50,000 to $65,000 based on skills and experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Efficiently maintain filing and reporting systems for the Health & Safety Department, ensuring easy access to crucial information, and generating comprehensive safety reports and statistical data.
- Assume the role of JHSC Secretary, proficiently handling meeting logistics, agendas, and committee evaluations, as well as recording precise meeting minutes for Joint Health & Safety meetings to capture essential discussions and action items.
- Play a key role in organizing and scheduling safety training for employees and conducting Fit Tests to ensure employee safety compliance.
- Handle training coordination, booking sessions, and sending reminders to workers and relevant personnel.
- Facilitate onboarding of new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and equipping them with the necessary tools and information.
- Utilize SiteDocs to manage workers' information, set up new workers, and grant app access when applicable.
- Efficiently update and monitor employee certificates and drivers abstracts, maintaining accurate records.
- Provide valuable field support when needed and contribute to additional projects as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 1+ year(s) experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.
- Background in Construction Health & Safety is considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Self-motivated and well-organized, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks to manage.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in safety documentation.
