Detailed Overview:
**Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families**:
- Leads the operational implementation of strategic people and culture development initiatives across Fraser Health to improve the experience of providing care, particularly focusing on the resiliency, wellness, and psychological health and safety of our workforce. Leads the implementation of the Canadian Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in accordance with the Psych Health & Safety (PH&S) action plan submitted to the government.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leads and develops people and culture projects and initiatives across Fraser Health by linking in with internal stakeholders such as the Executive Team and operational, program, professional, corporate and support leaders to define project scope, develop project plans, implement project, and evaluate results.
- Leads the implementation of the Canadian Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in Fraser Health, including the implementation of the PH&S Management System, in accordance with the action plan submitted to the government. Submits annual performance report to the Executive and Board and the Ministry of Health.
- Acts as Fraser Health representative for psychological health and safety at provincial, regional and national meetings, committees and conferences, providing a Fraser Health perspective on emerging issues and opportunities. Presents at conferences as appropriate.
- Provides consulting and support to clinical leaders and teams in the areas of workplace culture development, psychological health and safety, workforce resiliency and respectful workplace; keeps current of industry standards and best practice.
- Identify critical barriers/issues impacting Fraser Health's resiliency and vitality requiring executive input and/or support, and provide recommendations for addressing and resolving those barriers.
- Performs needs assessments, environmental scans and conducts research to identify viable projects and initiatives and presents recommendations as required. Prepares business cases and discussion papers for consideration.
- Provides leadership, design and facilitation support as required to large leadership forums, organizational committees, planning groups and operational/implementation groups related to organizational culture or psychological health and safety.
- Manages designated staff by hiring staff, setting priorities, establishing and monitoring performance expectations, managing workload to meet operational requirements; disciplines and initiates employee terminations as necessary.
- Prepares and manages budget to reflect the on-going needs of the portfolio; manages annual contracting with external team members.
- Partners with the Chief Nursing Officer and Executive Director, Professional Practice, to enable strategy of the People and Culture Steering Committee and Advisory Councils.
- Partners with Leadership Development in the delivery of Fraser Health's internal leadership development programs for leaders at all levels in the organization.
Qualifications:
**Education and Experience**
- Master's Degree in the Social Sciences, Organization Development, Leadership, Adult Learning, Health Care Administration or a related discipline.
- Seven (7) to nine (9) years' recent, related experience in a large organization or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
