As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team.
**Position Summary**:
The Health & Safety Manager oversees the occupational health and safety function, developing strategies, plans, and policies in collaboration with the VP to ensure compliance with local, federal, and provincial regulations. They lead in identifying and mitigating health and safety risks, driving strategic initiatives aligned with Standard Group's objectives.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Develops and maintains an Occupational Health and Safety program compliant with legislation, including safe work practices, regular meetings, and maintaining OHS databases.
- Identifies and conducts employee OHS training as required, including maintaining training records and coordinating courses.
- Conducts workplace inspections, investigations, and safety audits, including internal audits, hazard assessments, and investigating incidents.
- Administers the Return-to-Work program, developing policies, communicating guidelines, and supporting managers and workers.
- Ensures compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, as well as industry-specific standards.
- Performs other related duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in a Health & Safety related field or equivalent.
- Minimum nCSO designation, CRSP preferred.
- Experience in administering Occupational Health and Safety programs, including risk assessment and safety management systems.
- Expert knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation, with a strong understanding of industry-specific regulations (e.g., construction, manufacturing).
- Proven experience in implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting incident investigations, and reporting.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills, familiarity with Site Docs program and other relevant tools or technologies.
- Proficient in word processing, record keeping, and internet computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including crisis management, conflict resolution, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions on complex health and safety matters.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
