**Social Media & Administration Coordinator**

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Social Media & Administration Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the VAFB with all things social media and administration, including but not limited to social media planning and scheduling, providing administrative support, and organizing and scheduling all events related to the VAFB.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Answering phones, providing administrative support and organization at the Calgary VAFB location.
- Create compelling content for VAFB's social media platforms, including written, video, and photo content for the Calgary locations.
- Providing input and support to the overall social media program across various locations.
- Monitor industry trends and VAFB's social media channels to optimize content and engagement.
- Coordinate and manage Calgary VAFB-related events, ensuring seamless execution.
- Stay current with social media technologies and trends to innovate VAFB's digital presence.
- Cultivate relationships with industry professionals and influencers to expand VAFB's reach - including local police, fire departments and other potential community stakeholders.
- Helping to coordinate volunteers for events and working with multiple stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Experience**
- Minimum 1-2 years of administrative and social media experience.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in social listening and engaging with online communities.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Demonstrated multitasking skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated and organized with excellent time management skills.
- Passionate about social media with expertise in major platforms and management tools (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
- Familiarity with emerging social media technologies and trends.

**Additional Requirements**
- Must reside in Calgary - this is an in-office position.
- Possess a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
