Job Title: Social Media Manager (Part-Time)
**Hours**: 10-12 hours per week**Location**: Hybrid
**About Us**:Silver Linings Foundation (SLF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing hope and recovery support for individuals struggling with eating disorders. We aim to build a supportive community while raising awareness, offering resources for eating disorder recovery, and connecting individuals with the supports they need.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Content Calendar Development**:
- Develop and coordinate a quarterly content overview and a monthly content calendar aligned with organisational goals.
- Propose and implement creative social-specific strategies to increase engagement and reach.
- **Content Creation & Engagement**:
- Write, design and schedule weekly posts across social media platforms (Instagram - [emphasis on reels], Facebook, LinkedIn) to promote SLF’s programs, resources, advocacy and hopeful recovery content.
- Collaborate with other team members to create specific content pieces.
- **Support for Fundraising Campaigns**:
- Assist in creating social media content for fundraising campaigns, including appeals, success stories, and donor recognition posts.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide suggestions for optimization.
- **Community Engagement**:
- Actively engage with our eating disorder recovery community, as well as the larger ED recovery conversation on a local, provincial and national level. Foster connections with other mental health orgs and ED connected individuals where relevant.
- Monitor comments and messages, fostering a positive, supportive recovery community while drafting professional organisational responses.
- **Reporting**:
- Monitor and report on social media performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and making recommendations for improvement.
- **Trend Monitoring & Recommendations**:
- Stay up to date with social media trends, especially within the mental health sector, and recommend new ideas to keep our content fresh and engaging.
**Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated experience managing social media for nonprofits or within the mental health sector.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different platforms and audiences.
- Ability to take initiative, propose innovative ideas, and execute on social media strategies.
- Experience with social media reporting and ability to track key metrics and report on performance.
- Knowledge and sensitivity around mental health issues
**Assets**:
- Lived-experience with eating disorders or mental health recovery (personally or with a loved-one)
- Actively involved in work related to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility
