The Jr. Human Resource (HR) Generalist will run the broad functions of the Human Resource (HR) department and undertake a wide range of HR tasks, including recruitment, benefits, compensation, health and safety, policy creation and administration as well employee relations. As an individual who strongly drives data driven decision making, you will use ADP to manage, update and identify trends within the workforce while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. You will also act as the first point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related matters while actively working to resolve them with guidance from the Director, HR.

**What You will do at GFD**
- Implement and evaluate human resources strategies including policies, programs and procedures to address GFD’s Human Resources requirements
- Advise employers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, compensation and benefit programs
- Plan and develop staffing, compensation, training and career development, employee assistance, and DEI programs
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
- Propose and implement training and development programs and objectives
- Manage programs and maintain human resources information and related records systems
- Hire and oversee training of staff
- Coordinate employee performance appraisal programs
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates

**What you Bring to GFD**

**Your Experience**
- 3+ years of proven experience as a HR professional

**Your Education**
- University degree or college diploma in HR management, industrial relation, or a related field.
- Certified HR Professional (CHRP) designation or in progress.

**Your Knowledge, Skills, Competencies & Abilities**
- Knowledge and expertise in HR policies and procedures
- Strong understanding of best practices and current regulations specific to HR, including ESA, OHRC, OHSA, CASL, and other relevant legislation
- Excellent communication, judgment, critical thinking, and decision making skills
- Knowledge about conflict management
- Flexibility with the ability to manage changing priorities.
- Friendly interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally interact with all levels of employees.
- Excellent attention to detail; must demonstrate a sense of urgency & deliver quality outcomes.

**Your Technical Skills**
- Proficiency with HRIS system - ADP experience is an asset
- Proficiency in software's like MS Office, Google Suite, and Airslate
- Ability to navigate ATS, including LinkedIn and Indeed.
